Yukon River Expedition 10

Mother Nature strikes back !
Covid 19 changes everything, travelling in Alaska will change for years! Whether it will be possible to travel the Yukon River in its full length in 2022, I have my doubts ..

Course of the Expedition 3300 Km

I will travel the Yukon River in it's full length again.

It's planned for 2021 or 2022

The Expedition will take at least 90-100 days.

After this trip I will have spent about 29,500 km in a boat on the Yukon River and I think that will be my last Yukon River Expedition !

If anyone would like to join...

Send me a mail...

Whether the expedition will take place in 2021 or 2022 or not depends on the health of my mother and brother. So far it looks good and I have already discussed it with them, 3-4 months on tour would be ok.

I have traveled the Yukon River many times in a folding boat, catamaran, and trimaran.
It's time to use something else...

For my 10th time, it would be nice to use a Sup Board.
But I need to practice and I have to do a lot of research to find out what kind of equipment would be suitable for a Sup Board Expedition.
The Board can only be an inflatable, because I have to take it with me on the plane.
If any of you would have any infos, that'd be great!
I think this Sup looks like a good candidate...

Scandinavian Design - Born on the River Thames.
Tour in Sweden, the Billboard H4 Black and a Tarp is all you need

The Billboard would be the perfect Sup Board for the Yukon Expedition!
I like the Board and the people behind the Company!
Thank's for all your help Soren !

The Billboard H4 is not a cheap board for sure, but up to now I did not find a better one...

But hey, I'm stlill searching !

According to my research, the
Schwede Marcus Aspsjö
is the only one that went down the Yukon
River to the Bering Sea on
a Sup Board.

I'm really glad that someone already did it !

Thanks to Marcus Aspsjö for his  tips regarding a Yukon River Tour with a Sup Board,
Thank's Marcus!
